If insurance companies wonder why so many people in the U.S. want the government to regulate them out of business, actions like these (and others) are what have congress pissing napalm on the fire of the health care debate.

While I am a bubba and not so familiar with the political process, the fact that in the same article Senator Baucus wanted to get the bill out of committee by the end of the week seemed rather extraordinary to me

Going to the trouble of setting up an HSA so that you can then put a few thousand dollars a year into a tax advantaged account so that you can then go out and buy beer, Doritos, a new grill or flat screen TV tax free seems like a lot of trouble to cheat on taxes.

….I couldn’t help but ponder the message, which in this case was entitled “American Dream.” I’m not going to recite the sermon here but I was struck by the parallels to the debate swirling around health care in our country today.
